A visit to Limassol would not be complete without attending one of the biggest and most significant cultural events on the island. The Limassol Wine Festival has been attracting visitors since 1961, and is a colourful, 10-day tribute to the island’s long winemaking history, and the many vintages that are produced by both big and boutique wineries of Cyprus – most of which are located in the Limassol district. Admission includes a receptacle for unlimited wine tasting, and a programme of entertainment and activities offers something for every member of the family. The Cyprus Tourism Organisation (CTO) offers a free shuttle bus service to and from the event. All the details and the full programme will be published on the municipality’s dedicated Wine Festival website page nearer the date.
