Easter in Cyprus is a very festive time, with every household involved in preparations for the Easter weekend celebrations. Here at the Four Seasons, we are planning some very traditional celebrations for you to enjoy.


At 10.00 a.m. we will be baking by the Poolside, flaounes (cheese pies) and tsourekia (traditional sweet bread) as well as village bread, olive pies and other Easter bakeries.
You will be able to taste some of these pies and breads with a glass of village wine and meze delicacies. Bring your camera!

Midnight Mass is celebrated, and all Cypriots attend their neighbourhood church. You too may visit the local churches near the hotel from 11.00 p.m. onward.

After Mass, it is customary to bring back the “Holy Light” and break coloured eggs and enjoy Magiritsa (a Greek Easter traditional soup) and flaounes. You will be able to enjoy Magiritsa, flaounes and coloured eggs in the comfort of your room from 24.00hrs onwards at EUR€12.00 per person. Please dial Ext. 8 or Ext. 1 to place your order.


After church service on the Sunday morning, it is time to put the BBQ on and prepare the souvla, kokoretsi, oven roasts and many other traditional specialities. Here at the Four Seasons by the Outdoor Pool we will be setting up a buffet that’s second to none!

Exhibition cooking and spit roasting before you as well as a wonderful dessert buffet inside the Cafe Tropical with some traditional desserts cooked to order. Chocolate Easter eggs will be there for the children to enjoy.
Great entertainment is always on hand at the Four Seasons with our Resident Band and Folklore group of traditional dancers providing some true Cypriot Easter celebrations.
Children can participate in an Easter egg hunt; meet at 10.00hrs by the Pool Bar.

The price for this Easter Sunday lunch is €65.00 per person and €40.00 per child for children under 12 years old. Reservations are recommended.
